Peter Puklus

Peter Puklus es un fotógrafo y artista húngaro nacido en 1980 en Cluj, Rumania, y radicado en Budapest. Estudió fotografía en la Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design de Budapest (MOME) y diseño de nuevos medios en ENSCI/Les Ateliers, París. Su obra parte de la mirada fotográfica, pero se ha expandido hacia libros de artista, esculturas, objetos, instalaciones, dibujos, pintura y video, con una preocupación sostenida por la construcción narrativa.

Entre sus libros figuran One and a half meter (Kehrer, 2012), Handbook to the Stars (Stokovec), The Epic Love Story of a Warrior (Self Publish, Be Happy, 2016) y The Hero Mother – How to build a house (Witty Books / Images Vevey, 2021). Sus proyectos han sido presentados en espacios como Capa Center, C/O Berlin, FOAM, Robert Morat Gallery, Glassyard Gallery, Ferenczy Museum Centrum e Images Vevey. The Hero Mother recibió el Grand Prix Images Vevey 2017/2018, y The Epic Love Story of a Warrior fue preseleccionado para el Aperture / Paris Photo Photobook Award 2016. Ha desarrollado actividad docente y de talleres en MOME, ÉCAL, CEPV, HSLU, HfBK Hamburg, Bauhaus University, FAMU, UMPRUM y UJEP.
